Carol Ann House
Carol Ann House is the Head of 8(a) Business Development Program at the SBA, Alabama District Office. She is responsible for providing leadership and oversight to optimize the deployment of SBA's programs and services in Alabama.
Carol Ann is responsible for the marketing of SBA programs and services to small business, including the All-Small Mentor Protégé Program, 8(a) Business Development Program, Women-owned Small Businesses, HUBZone and Veteran Contracting Assistance Programs. She plays a critical role in increasing opportunities for small businesses in the federal marketplace.
As a senior member of the District Office Team. Nancy provides significant input in the Strategic Marketing & Outreach Plan (SMOP). She works with assigned groups, organizations, associations, coalitions and partners in the District whose constituents, stakeholders and/or members benefited from the use of SBA programs and services, especially those that aligned with the SBA strategic initiatives.
Carol Ann started her Federal career in 1991 under the Department of Treasury, then processed loans with the US Department of Agriculture. She participated in Volunteers in Income Tax Assistance to assist individuals and small business owners and worked as a Staff Accountant for major CPA firms for many years.
Carol Ann graduated from Birmingham-Southern College in 1990 with a Bachelor in Science degree in Business Administration and Minor in Art with a concentration in Finance. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society. A strong advocate for small business participation in federal contracting.
Carol Ann is married to Mike (17 years), has two children and one grandchild. She is an Alabama fan.
