Kelly Falter


Kelly Falter is one of the founders of Paragon Research Corporation and currently serves and their Executive Vice President, Chief Scientist and Program Manager over all government contracts. Mr. Falter brings with him 36 years of experience in developing highly advanced, innovative hardware and software solutions. Mr. Falter holds several patents including one for the development of the Micro-Miniature Infrared Transmitter for tracking Africanized honeybees, also known as the “Bee Chip,” a Micro-Miniature RF Transmitter and over 30 technical publications on various topics. Mr. Falter spent 12 years with the Department of Energy’s Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) as a development engineer with a major portion of his time devoted to the National Security Program Office.


He received a Martin Marietta Technical Achievement Award for the development of the previously mentioned infrared transmitter, a Significant Event Award for the development of a miniature single chip RF transmitter, a Lockheed Martin Operations and Support Award for development of the Oak Ridge Calibration Recall Program, an Outstanding Managerial and Technical Performance Award for support of the Navy RADIAC Development Program, and most recently, he lead the effort for winning the prestigious Nunn Perry Award for Paragon Research Corporation through the Small Business Program Office at the Missile Defense Agency. While at Cadre5, some of his efforts included work on the SensorNet Program for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory designing an open architecture to support regional and global sensor networks for DOD, DOE, DHS, DNDO and NOAA.


Mr. Falter was also involved with the advanced alerting system developed and installed in the Pentagon providing intelligent communications and accountability for government operations in the Washington, DC area. Over the last 36 years, Mr. Falter has either been working for the government or with the government supporting our national security and warfighter programs. Kelly holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Physics and a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
