Leteria Moses Waters


Leteria Moses Waters has been in the banking profession for over 30 years, twenty-five of which has been with Synovus Bank formerly known as First Commercial Bank Huntsville. She is Vice President at the Westside Center Branch, where she serves as the Retail Market Manager.


Mrs. Waters has the opportunity of making the difference in the success of many local business owners and churches located in the Huntsville Madison County area. Being their personal trusted financial partner, working closely with them to ensure they achieve their financial mission and assist with making their financial goals come to fruition. Leteria has held several positions over her banking career dating back to 1997 to include head teller, assistant branch manager, and branch manager. 

Leteria is very active in the community in which she lives, operating with a motto of sharing her time and financial talents with others. Leteria has delivered several financial presentations over the years to a wide range of age groups from youth to seasoned individuals.


Mrs. Waters has an active record with volunteering, partnering with both civic and professional organizations. She has been able to leverage her talents and skills to help others in our area. She has served on the North Alabama African America Chamber of Commerce Special Project Committee; Board Member with Junior Achievement of North Alabama; Children’s Advocacy Center September Celebration Committee; The Local UNCF (United Negro College Fund) Committee hosted by Oakwood University; United Way of Madison County (past Loan Executive, The Day of Caring Chairman and allocation committee); Oakwood University Youth Motivator Task Force Speaker; and she has worked with The Cornerstone Initiative Faith and Finance Committee serving as an Ally.


Leteria was a member of the Alabama A & M University Business Industry Cluster for many years, she was an inaugural committee member of the Alabama A & M University Black Tie Scholarship Gala. Over years, the annual gala has grown to be one of the university’s largest fundraisers in the community.


Leteria is no stranger to performing duties associated with enhancing her religious journey serving as a servant leader with church ministries. She has served as a past president of the Knights of St. Peter Claver Ladies Auxiliary; held a seat on the Pastoral Council; Campus Minister to the students of Alabama A & M University; and served as a facilitator of Religious Education classes to the youth at her church.


Leteria is a member of Epsilon Gamma Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporate (AKA). She is married to Lawrence Waters Jr. they reside in Huntsville, Alabama.
